Simon Jinks has been teaching on boats for twenty years, starting in dinghies and small powerboats and graduating up to yachts and motorboats.

As an RYA Yachtmaster Examiner for sail and motorboats, he has travelled all over the world on boats up to 80ft, from Scotland to New Zealand and the Mediterranean to the Caribbean. He is now the Chief Cruising Instructor for the RYA, overseeing the Motor and Sail Cruising instructional programmes.
